Back Story
The year is 2020 something and life is good. How could it not be? The Power Rangers have been at it for years, and by now they're old pro's at saving the city, and the city's gotten real comfortable being saved. Well, that is until about a month ago when the Rangers all suddenly disappeared. Since then, things haven't been quite as cozy. With crime on the uptick, the spotless city needs to re-learn to defend itself from the monsters of its past. But how are they supposed to do that without any help? Well, they're in luck... Sort of.
Our story beings with the awakening of Zordon's secret FailSafe program, built to find solutions for problems like this one. It has located just the thing to stem the sudden tide of evil: a team of unlikey heroes to defend Earth and discover what happened to the lost Power Rangers... Their teen-aged kids. Whether they're ready or not, these new Rangers will team up and learn how to become the legendary heroes that their parents were, while trying to save them in the process.

Journal Entries
"JOURNAL" ONE
[Last letter to Adam from his parents.] Adam! Some very important rules for the weekend:
We love you! See you Monday! |
"JOURNAL" TWO
[Newspaper clipping about Rangers absence.] The search for the Power Rangers is slowly starting to come to a close. In what may go down as one of the world's most baffling unsolved mysteries, it seems that our heroes have left the building, and with no clear sign of a struggle. What will happen to our city in the wake of this tragedy? For now, only time can tell. All that remains is their abandoned Megazord a few miles outside of town. Fortunately, Repulsa Industries has taken it upon themselves to turn this community icon into a local monument. It’s set to be open for tours late next year. |
JOURNAL THREE
[Torn out entry from Aisha's journal. There is an X crossed over the page.] Hey dad. Your closet is a mess. I didn’t even know you wore loafers but somehow you have four pairs of them? Outrageous. I thought I looked-up to you. Oh, and it took me like two hours just to get your books in order. Why didn’t you tell me you journaled? Or took pictures? I found an awesome one of all of us at that giant ball of yarn. And yes. I read your journal. BUT JUST LIKE A PAGE. I started writing again, too. For the memories or whatever. Anyway. When you get back, you’re not allowed to make fun of me for not cleaning my room. Deal? Deal. |
Main Characters
Previously On: Adam Park, the resourceful and intelligent Black Ranger, was a loner who struggled with his confidence, but overcame it with martial arts training. Eventually, he became one of the veteran rangers that the others looked up to.
In Our Story: A quiet, studious, and generally nervous teen, Adam was voted Most Likely to Overreact by his two friends on a Facebook poll. While his fascination with old martial arts movies and record collecting keep him busy, he still finds time to focus on his greatest passion: amateur magic. Most would say he doesn't have what it takes to become a Power Ranger, and most of them would be right. But as far as Adam's concerned, that's just fine. He'd rather stay inside, anyway. That is, until the sudden disappearance of his mom and dad. Shortly after being placed into the care of his aunt, Fail Safe found Adam and told him the truth: his parents were two of the missing Power Rangers, and if he wants to see them again, he's going to have to face his greatest fear. All of them. |

Previously On: Aisha Campbell, the spirited and clever Yellow Ranger, was very outgoing but often struggled with her responsibilities.
In Our Story: Aisha is undoubtedly driven... Sometimes to a fault. Her classmates beg to work on teams with her (because they know she'll just finish the project herself), she boxes (with only the occasional foul), plays tennis (but never doubles), and can often be found eating lunch by herself. When her father disappeared, she sprang into action, searching through his things and re-tracing his steps. By the time Fail Safe located her, she had already come to the conclusion that her dad was one of the Rangers and was in the process of creating a suit for herself. But, as she unfortunately discovers, if she plans to save him, she's going to have to learn to work with a team. For the first time, this is something that she just can't do alone. |

Banter Between Characters
[outdoors]
AISHA: Stay. Still. ADAM: What? What is it? AISHA: Stop moving or it'll run. ADAM: Oh my God, what? AISHA: Shh... ADAM: Aisha, please. I-- AISHA: Oh, just a leaf. You can move now! ADAM: [frustrated sigh] |
[taking a stroll]
AISHA: Chocolate or vanilla? ADAM: Strawberry. AISHA: Ketchup or mustard? ADAM: Grey Poupon. AISHA: Oh, come on. Really? ADAM: Ketchup. AISHA: Cat or dog? ADAM: Uh-- AISHA: Nevermind. We both know it's cat. |
[after a mission]
ADAM: Hey, uh-- nice job back there. AISHA: Yeah? ADAM: Yeah. AISHA: You, too. ADAM: We're getting better at this partner stuff, huh? AISHA: Maybe we are. |
New Side Character
Fail Safe
Everyone needs a back-up plan in case things go wrong. Plan A, B, and C. Or, in the case of Fail Safe, plan Z. The final red button you press before giving-up completely. In fact, this android was created by Zordon for such a rare and unlikely circumstance, that he hardly put any effort into him at all. Fail Safe powered on for the first time about a month ago, just moments before Zordon suddenly disappeared. Newly born and very confused, Fail Safe relied on its database and basic instructions: Call the Power Rangers. So that's what he did. Or, tried to do, anyway. Until he found their signals have all gone dark. However, what he did find was the next best thing, a couple of names tucked away into the data on all of the Rangers: Adam and Aisha. Fail Safe will provide the upstart Power Rangers with missions and objectives to help lead them toward Zordon and the missing Rangers. And while he has his database stacked with key information, he will be learning along with them as they all work together to understand their new role in this suddenly more dangerous world. |
Mission
The Front End
The Ranger's Megazord was left abandoned at the edge of the city. While Repulsa Industries claims to be turning the area into a monument to your parents, I have my doubts. Break into the site and locate the Megazord. Inside, you'll find the Red Ranger's power crystal. I believe that we can find a good use for it. But be careful, the site is swarming with Repulsa's lackeys, and they're sure to be searching, too. |
EXAMPLE DIALOG
FAIL SAFE: That door, just up the hall to your right. It looks like it'll-- FAIL SAFE: No, I'm sorry. On the left. The LEFT door will take you to the control room. FAIL SAFE: [to himself] Stupid map is old as sin... FAIL SAFE: In here-- yes, perfect. Here is where they're keeping the power coins they've found so far. FAIL SAFE: See if yours is there. With them, I can get you both inside of the zord. But you have to move quickly. |
